Zinc Chromate
Zinc Yellow is an Anti-Corrosive Pigment used to manufacture Anti-Corrosive Primer Paint Systems. It is yellow in colour. Primers based on Zinc Yellow are used as first coats in any Anti-Corrosive Painting system.
Zinc Yellow does not bleed in Solvents or Oils but has a slight but significant solubility in Water. This slight solubility in water contributes to its ability to inhibit corrosion on account of liberation of chromate ions.
Also, its Zinc Oxide component makes it basic in character, which further contributes to corrosion inhibition by reaction with acidic materials in the film. Low solubility type relatively free from soluble Chlorides and Sulphates
is intended for use in the metal primers. Micronized Grade of this pigment is also available.
These Products are used in the manufacture of Synthetic enamels and is highly recommended for Epoxy primers, Marine coating, Unicoat
coating, Eatch Primers, Coil coating etc.
